How It All Begin!

Hello! I'm Tiffany! I am the owner and artist of Wonderfully Chosen. I am a follower of Christ, wife, and mom to 4 beautiful gifts from above. I have been working with polymer clay since 2015, but I actually started out creating earrings. After a few years of praying and asking God about a career, God gave me a dream of clay earrings. The dream occurred around February- March of 2015. After the dream I did some research and saw that people were actually selling polymer clay earrings and jewelry as a business! I was so excited, and I went on to purchase the supplies that I would need to start. In around March- April of 2016 I started my business making various styles of earrings and selling them on Etsy. At that time my business was called IBHe Boutique. IBHe is an acronym for "Inspired by He", referring to God. So many others were using inspired by Him, so I wanted to do something different with my business name.
After starting my business, I received orders from family and friends, and it wasn't until November of 2016 that I received my first order from a customer that I didn't know. Oh the excitement! I was so excited and thanking God! I thanked Him for each and every order and I still do to this day! After I received my first order, I received a few more orders that year.
In 2017 I begin receiving monthly orders. I had also started solely making ethnic style earrings. In April of the same year I decided to open an Instagram account and I ended up closing it in June due to the overwhelm of posting and keeping up with other businesses. During that time we were a military family and my husband was deployed on tour in South Korea. While my husband was in South Korea, I was also homeschooling my children and trying to run a business. I was trying to post everyday as well as staying up late trying to create new earrings to post daily.
After closing my Instagram, I felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I believe at the time it was the right thing to do. Not only that, but according to Etsy's analytics not one of my orders came through Instagram. Shortly after closing Instagram, I noticed my Etsy sales had picked up. It was as if God was saying don't worry I gave you the business idea so I will bring you the customers!
In 2018 I started receiving weekly orders. In 2019 I took a break from my business as I was preparing to welcome our 4th baby. In the fall of 2020, I reopened my Etsy shop to receive orders again and even received a couple of custom orders. While chatting with a customer who also happened to be an Etsy seller, she recommended that I start an Instagram page. The sweet young lady also mentioned that she would give me a shout out so that I could receive a few followers. After thinking it through, I decided to open another Instagram page. The young lady followed through with giving me a shout out on her page. To my surprise not only did I get new followers, I also received two orders that day.
My Instagram account slowly begin to grow with new followers. I also decided to step out on faith and leave Etsy to start my own website. By this time, I was transitioning from making ethnic style earrings to more elegant styles.
In January of 2021 another young lady that found me through Instagram, that also ordered earrings from me invited me to a group on Facebook for women in business. The majority of the group were local to the area. Not too long after joining the group I introduced myself and posted my earrings and received a lot of positive feedback. On the same post where I introduced myself, a young lady reached out to me to invite me to be a vendor at a local space that she was hosting. Of course, I agreed to attend! That event ended up being my first vendor event, and I was so blessed by the sales that I received that evening.
Throughout 2021 online sales were slow, but I had quite a few opportunities to do vendor events where I was able to sale my earrings.
Early 2022 I started transitioning to making floral earrings. Shortly after by the grace of God I had two Instagram reels that went viral. I went from having about 1,500 followers to 10k followers within a few weeks and my sales increased tremendously! By this time, I was making online sales as well as doing vendor events. I was also fulfilling wholesale orders on Faire.
By the summer of 2022 I was feeling burnt out and tired. I was wondering as to whether making polymer clay earrings had run its course. By this time, I had left the Facebook group. I had also closed my Faire account. I pretty much just started closing everything down regarding my business. I needed a break.
In September of 2022, I made a floral jewelry dish with the words "God is Love". I was thinking that maybe I could start doing jewelry dishes instead of earrings. I played with the idea in my head for a little bit while still feeling like I needed a break from clay.
In October of the same year, we had a medical emergency with my second oldest. By this time, I was relieved that I had closed everything pertaining to my business down so that I could focus on my child.
The following year I was able to get the break that I needed. I soon realized that I missed making polymer clay flowers. I was back and forth with the idea of creating again or if it was time to move on.
In 2024 I decided that I would make polymer clay floral jewelry dishes with words that represented my faith. I proceeded to change my business name to His Beloved Promises, referring to God and His Promises. I created another Instagram account since I deleted my previous one with 10k followers since I didn't think I was going to need it. I was so wrong! Going from 10k to 0 followers is hard! I did a few vendor events that year, but no online orders.
When 2025 came around I ended up changing my business name to Wonderfully Chosen. The name Wonderfully Chosen is a combination of Psalm 139:14 and 1 Peter 2:9. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and as believers we are a chosen people. The reason for the name change was due to some people thinking that the "His" in His Beloved Promises was referring to the husband in marriage since I sold jewelry dishes. Or at least at that time I referred to them as ring dishes. I just automatically assumed that people would know I was referring to God.
The summer of 2025 I did a vendor event, and I decided to sell some of my earrings that were left over from IBHe Boutique. For the vendor event I had for sale the earrings with my jewelry dishes and a few other items. My earrings were a hit and I started contemplating on whether I should start making earrings again. I made more earrings and started posting them to my Instagram, but I still wanted to show my faith through my art.
Now here we are in 2026! After much thought I felt like the Lord was leading me to create framed art. This is how my 3D floral framed clay art came about. I enjoy creating art that uplifts, bring joy and encouragement to my customers while pointing them to Christ.
If you made it this far in reading my story and how it all began, may the good Lord bless you! Definitely a long read, but it's truly my story! I felt led to share about my journey with polymer clay and how God has been in my story from the beginning.
As I mentioned earlier going from 10k followers to 0 is not easy, but there are two scriptures that come to my mind right now. The first comes from Zechariah 4:10, "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." The second comes from Galatians 6:9, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
